The ghost town of Sabine Pass has a long, complicated, and tragic history with the sea. The maritime history of this community (destroyed by hurricanes many times and finally annexed by Port Arthur in the 1980s) is reflected in this water-sprayer lighthouse, the centerpiece of the new spray park addition to a well-loved community park.
