"Somewhere on the Trail" by David Govedare decorates the Bay Street park Hike and Bike Trail along the levee road near the Texas City Dike.
The statue depicts a young Indian reaching to the Heavens -- in thanksgiving? In petition? On sunny days the sun will peek through
some of the offset panels in this silhouette sculpture, creating an interesting visual effect.
Dedicated in 1999, the statue survived Hurricane Ike very well, and is a much loved addition to this beautiful park.
