The chateau was built at the end of 14th century on the spot of a gothic water-fortress. The chateau served as a new administrative seat of the Brevnov cloister. A castle circumscribed with a water ditch was reconstructed to a renaissance chateau in 60´s of 16th century. In 1872-1873 a broad repairation of the chateau underwent. Two-wing and two-store building with a tower is decorated with rich renaissance figurative graffito and rustic ornaments. Inside of the chateau there are renaissance and gothic scuncheons and renaissance fire-sides. Around the chateau there is a walled moat. At the north side there is a stoned bridge overarching the moat which replaced the draw-bridge. Since 1958 the chateau was used by the Czechoslovak radio that bought the chateau in 1982. In recent past the archive of the Czech radio was located there. Today the chateau is without any use and inaccessible for public.
