While driving on I-55 South of Springfield, MotherGoose spotted the town of Zenobia on the Official Illinois State Map. Since we were close, we went for a visit. Soon we were following a narrow tar & stone country road named Zenobia Rd, so we knew we were getting close. Then we found the sign. We didn't find a city, town, or village. It seems Zenobia has disappeared but is still recognized by the state. The sign is in Zenobia Township. The sign sits in the front yard of a farm, which is owned by kin of the founder and postmaster of Zenobia.
