In the neighborhood of Chestnut Hill which is parts of Boston, Brookline, and Newton, is Boston College, where there is a sculpture titled 'Concord' that is listed in the Smithsonian Art Inventory.

The sculpture is located at a brick plaza in front of the E. Paul Robsham Theatre Arts Center, which is in the Chestnut Hill (main) campus of the college, and about a tenth mile north of the Conte Forum, which is the basketball and hockey stadium for the college. See a campus map for locations of the buildings referenced.

The piece is H. 96 in. x W. 90 in. x D. 60 in. according to the inventory entry. It stands on a square stone base with lights embedded in it. The sculpture has three components, intertwined, one colored orange, one purple, and one black. The black component is symetrical and is mostly the back (the part facing the theatre rather than the road) part of the piece. It is angular and has wing-like appendages. The red-purple component is composed of overlapping solid oval shapes that wind around the sculpture. The orange component is composed of odd-shaped components with openings suggesting veins in insect wings. The piece is attached to the base at several places.

A plaque near a corner of the base has the following text:

"Concord
George Sugarman
American, 1912 -
Gift of
Anthony C. Simboli
Class of 1950"

The piece is in good shape, but wear is visible on many of the edges as missing paint.
