The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted in July 2007.

No vertical observational check was made to the station.

The geoid height was determined by GEOID09.

The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).

The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.

DESCRIBED BY MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION 2006 THE STATION IS LOCATED 1.1 MILES (1.77 KILOMETERS) SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF FARMINGTON, 5.2 MILES (8.37 KILOMETERS) NORTH-NORTHWEST OF LIVONIA, AND 6.6 MILES (10.62 KILOMETERS) NORTHEAST OF PLYMOUTH, IN THE NORTHEAST QUADRANT OF THE INTERSECTION OF CASS STREET WITH 8 MILE ROAD. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF 8 MILE ROAD WITH INTERSTATE HIGHWAY-96, GO EAST ON 8 MILE ROAD FOR 2.5 MILES (4.02 KILOMETERS) TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT. THE STATION IS A 4 INCH (10 CENTIMETER) HEIGHT MODERNIZATION STATION DISK STAMPED 63680 2006 SET IN A 16 INCH (41 CENTIMETER) DIAMETER CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH THE GROUND. THE STATION IS 15.3 METERS (50.3 FEET) EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF CASS STREET, 4.0 METERS (13.0 FEET) WEST OF THE EXTENDED CENTER OF PRIVATE ENTRANCE--34034--, 3.8 METERS (12.5 FEET) EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF A MANHOLE, 2.5 METERS (8.2 FEET) NORTH OF THE BACK OF A CURB, AND 1.0 METER (3.25 FEET) SOUTH OF A CARSONITE WITNESS POST
