Igreja de São Pedro - Moura, Portugal - Roman Catholic Churches on Waymarking.com

The church of São Pedro was built with funds collected by the community and it was founded in 1674. It was classified as "monumento de interesse público" (a wider classification of all buildings and remnants which are considered national patrimony) in 1963. In the 20th Century, until the 90's, it was merely used as "casa mortuária" (the place where corpses await for burial) and then it was renovated and transformed in a museum, of religious art.
