The caboose has been painted entirely with a coat of red paint, completely obscuring any original markings. Heralds for every railraod that has ever serviced Newport have been applied to the caboose along with the logo for the historical society.
Per Caboose9: The Newport, WA, caboose was built by Morrison-International in 1962 as NP 1124 to NP 10124 to BN 10285 to BN 12512 when rebuilt for BN by Western Fruit Express in 7/90.
