Soroptimist Memorial Garden - Klamath Falls, OR - Soroptimist International Markers on Waymarking.com

The Soroptimist Memorial Garden is a small corner lot at along a bike trail that contains a monument that memorializes five women who were former Soroptimist members. The names of the women and the years they passed away are:

Alice Lamm 1965
Crystal Cloake 1998
Margaret Strode 2001
Bettie Schmeck
Frances Hahn 2011

I did some online research on all of the womens' names on the monument and the only info I could find was for Margaret Strode, who retired in 1973 after a long career as a school nurse at Klamath Union High School and for Francis Hahn, in which I found an online obituary here. This memorial garden blooms with a variety of annuals every spring and is well maintained by the local Soroptimist orginization.
