"The small fort of São Pedro is located in a neighborhood bearing the same name. This is a small 19th Century fortress. This enabled raining artillery fire on possible infiltration lines that could be used by by the enemy on this side of the town. Surrounded by a moat, it comprised a small gunpowder magazine for military material".
