I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey tidal disk from 1919 in good condition after digging it up from about 4-5 inches of railroad ballast. The disk is monumented on top of the SE concrete abutment that spans an irrigation canal and east of the railroad tracks. The disk face has the stamping elevation of 4090.983 ft on its face, along with 'C 5' and '1919'. The NGS datasheet description is adequate for station recovery. The NGS coordinates from the datasheet are way off and the coordinates I've provided with put you right on top of this benchmark location.
