The Chamard Vinyards planted their first vines on 5.5 acres of land in 1984. Initially, they planted mostly Chardonnay with smaller amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. They increased production and now have 20 acres of vines planted in Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot and Pinot Noir grapes. Current production is 6,000 cases annually. The winery grows, crushes, and ferments the grapes grown in their vineyards. They also mature and bottle their wine.
The beautifully landscaped winery has a main visitors building which double for wine tasting and store and an outdoor wine bar that is very popular during warm weather months.
