Marker Name: Guy E. Dobson House
Marker Text: Guy Dobson, who roomed with M.A. Lynch and J.R. Roberts in Portland, was the first of the three to come to Redmond. Dobson founded Redmond’s second bank, the Bank of Commerce, in 1910. His home, a modest double-front facing gable Craftsman style Bungalow, was sold to Louis and Lula Marion, owners of the Redmond Flour & Feed Company, in 1920. Note the exposed rafter tails, knee braces under the eaves, and the large front porch on this home, which are typical elements of the Craftsman style.
