Historic former jail in the historic gold mining town of Arrowtown, New Zealand.

The former jail was built in 1875 of locally quarried schist stone. The building is listed as a Category I building on the Historic Register. The jail replaced and earlier wood jail which had been built 1863. Visits to the interior of the jail are possible by stopping by the Lakes District Museum to obtain the key.
