The Arrow Kilwinning Lodge is a Category I building on the historic register and was built in 1888. The free masons started meeting in Arrowtown in the late 1870s at a hotel. By the 1880s discussion was to begun about building a purpose built building for a Lodge. The Lodge was designed by George Brown and it was constructed by John McDonald and completed in 1888. The small single story Lodge building was constructed using locally quarried schist stone. The interior of the Lodge is decoratively painted in the lodge room which was restored in 2009. The buildings continues to serve the Free Masons of Arrowtown as its lodge.
