The famous author of fairy tales, Hans Christian Andersen, was often at Augustenborg castle in the first half of 1800. It is told that he rested under that tree and got inspiration for several of his fairy tales. Today there is also a bench, so you could get inspiration from the lime-tree, too! There is a beautiful hiking path near the tree (see WMFQ1D).
