Bo Pilgrim is a famous (some say infamous) figure in Texas. Maybe you remember him for his Pilgrim's Pride Chicken (on sale everywhere). Or maybe you remember him for brazenly and personally handing out $10K blank checks to lawmakers on the floor of the TX Senate while a bill that could have negatively affected his business was being discussed.

Bo was unrepentant, and until the day he died declared that he did nothing wrong with the checks - he said only that he regretted his "timing."
Never one to keep a low profile, Bo built this mansion on the only highway through his small East Texas hometown of Pittsburg. In case anyone wondered who lived there, he helpfully embossed his company's logo (his head in profile wearing a Pilgrim hat) on the front gates.
