Colombo Crater is a 76 km wide, 2.4 km deep crater on our moon, officially recognized and catalogued by the International Astronomical Union.

The crater was named after Cristoforo Colombo AKA Christopher Columbus.

Piazza Colombo is a park in West Trail created by the the Italian community which makes up the majority of the area. Colombo Lodge was founded April 5, 1905 as Cristoforo Colombo Lodge Mutuo Soccorso No. 1, a benevolent society.

They, too, were named after Cristoforo Colombo. The Piazza and Lodge are along the south side of Rossland Ave. (Highway 3B), which leads to Rossland.
