Boats depart from Morston Quay to Blakeney Point where common and grey seals bask on the shingle. Pups can be seen at certain times of the year too and the seals often swim up to the boats.
This carving depicts the seals with their curious nature and alert faces. The grain of the wood even helps to relate to the individual markings on the seals. There is fine detail in their faces with nose and eyes carved and their fins rest on their full tummies. They lie tail to tail overlooking the visitors coming to the National Trust car park and look-out tower.
