This mine is on National Forest land, however there are No Trespassing signs placed around the mine to ensure the public's safety.
The mine has been caved in at some point in time. All that can be found at what was once the entrance is a pipe for the drainage and a Division of Minerals and Geology survey disk. To the east of the mine, a foundation of a smelter can still be seen. There are also multiple wooden building ruins strewn about that belonged to this mining operation.
The mine was worked in the early 1900s, and gold was the main metal mined. Silver was the second largest mined metal here.
