Auf diesen drei Informationstafeln ist die Flora und Faune der Insel Herrenchiemsee beschrieben. Besonders erwähnenswert ist der Ruf der Insel als so genannte "Insel der Fledermäuse", da hier bis zu 23 Fledermausarten vorkommen. Die alten Buchenwälder König Ludwigs im Süden der Insel bieten eine regelrechte Arche für seltene Tiere.
On these three information boards, the flora and fauna of the island Herrenchiemsee is described. Especially worth mentioning is the reputation of the island as a so-called "island of Bats", because there are up to 23 species of bats on the island. The ancient beech forests of King Ludwig in the south of the island offer a veritable ark of rare animals.
