The Bruce Rock Licensed Post Office operates within the 90 year old Post Office at 32 Johnson Street, and provides a wide range of services including post office boxes as well as passport business. It is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed Saturday and Sunday.

The first unofficial Post Office operated in Bruce Rock from Duggan's Store in c1913. The official POst Office commenced on 31st October 1919 in Bruce Rock, operated by Claude Thompson, in the room on the side of Duggan's Store. The Bruce Rock Post Office operated from that site until a purpose built Post Office opened for business on the 17th July 1922. The side area was previuosly the manual telephone exchange where up to eight girls worked and the assistant postal officer (normally male) worked night shifts. In 1922, Hoskins purchased the Post Office from Australia Post during a statewide programme of privatisation of post office facilities. It continues to operate as an official post office.

The brick construction has face brick to a dado height and roughcast stucco above. The gabled roof forms a pavillion along Johnston Street with a central gable feature over the central facade. Either side is a return verandah with a flat roof. The post office and residence respond appropriately to each other. The interior is a large open area with small semi-enclosed areas to the side and rear.
