The Sissle is a Swiss river in the eastern part of Fricktal. Its origin is near Schinznach-Dorf at an altitude of 650m. After 16 kilometers mainly in northwestern direction it flows into the Rhine at an altitude of 290 meters in Sisseln.
The Rhine is one of Europe's largest rivers with a length of over 1,200 km from the Alps to the North Sea. In its drainage area live over 50 mio. people.
The confluence location is west of the residential area of Sisseln. The river marks the border between the of village and the industrial zones in the west. The exact coordinates are a few meters west of the footbridge over Sissle. There are two hiking paths along the rivers; motorized traffic has no access to the closer area.
