Near the Veteran's Memorial in Magna at the northeast corner of Main Street and 8400 West is a Lincoln Highway Marker. Standing right next to the marker, closer to the ground, is a very weathered small marker detailing this as an Eagle Scout Project. The marker reads:
LINCOLN HIGHWAY
AMERICAN TRANSCONTINENTAL HIGHWAY
COMPLETED 1928
This original post once marked the route of the
Lincoln Highway where it passed through the Magna area.
It was reset June 2000 as an Eagle Scout Project by
Michael Terry and Scout Troop 955.
