Azimuth mark located in a wooded area about halfway between 2 sets of communications towers at the top of Broad Mountain at Clarks Knob.

Disk is .17 mi NNE of the location of the main station & about 60' NW of the centerline of the road. Disk is 12' SE of 8-inch tree, 10' S of 7-inch tree, 2'3" W of 3-inch tree, & 5'6" NW of 8-inch tree.

To reach from Upper Strasburg RD - at the top of the mountain, turn left (S) onto Bear Valley RD (gravel) and follow for .5 mile to Broad Mountain RD, then turn left (E) and follow up the mountain for 1.4 miles to a reverse-Y. Turn left (NE) onto road leading to communications towers. Mark is loctated past the frist set of towers on the left

Note - the mark is set in a square concrete monument projecting 4" and not in a boulder as described in 1942.

AZIMUTH MARK IS ABOUT 0.2 MILE N OF STATION AT THE CIRCULAR TURN IN THE ROAD, ON THE HIGHEST PART OF THE MOUNTAIN, AND SET FLUSH IN A LARGE BOULDER THAT PROJECTS ABOUT 3 INCHES. MARK IS STAMPED CLARKS KNOB 1942.
