Isidoro Manuel Rodrigues was not only a poet; he was also a journalist and a politician. He was born on the 12th January 1894, in Tavira, more specifically in Alagoa square.
He was mayor deputy (1923-25) and later he was the mayor himself (1937-39).
He founded the newspaper "Povo Algarvio".
