Autauga County Courthouse Left Side (CN0605) - Prattville, AL - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

The coordinates on the geocaching page show this mark as being over half a mile away from this spot. It must have been a typo. I used my own coordinates for this waymark, but the key is to remember that it is to the left of the entrance to the Courthouse. This would be the door facing North Court Street.

The 1934 description from the datasheet reads:

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1934 IN PRATTVILLE. IS LOCATED IN THE WEST WALL OF THE AUTAUGA COUNTY COURT HOUSE AT PRATTVILLE. 5 FT. NORTH OF CENTERLINE OF WEST ENTRANCE TO COURT HOUSE. 6 INCHES ABOVE STEP BANNISTER. BRONZE TABLET SET IN SIDE OF WALL.
