This memorial is dedicated Civilian Conservation Corps members who were injured, disabled or lost their lives in perfomance of their duty. It especially remembers the 228 C.C.C. members who perished Sept. 2, 1935 during a hurricane at three camps in the upper keys of Florida. It was donated by Henry Billitz and N.A.C.C.C.A. in 1997.
