Funkcionalist building of main train station in Podebrady was built in 1926 according to plans of architect Vojtech Krch. For a long time the station was considered as one of a most beautiful train stations in the Czech Republic. In 1960 stained glasses were installed in upper part of the main hall of the building. These glasses were designed by R. Gajdos. On the largest stained glass window the Czech king Jirí z Podebrad (George of Podebrady) is depicted. On the other windows are depicted various motifs, which each visitor of the famous Czech spa town could experienced - women around mineral spring, horse riding, water birds, restaurants, view of Podebrady castle built above Elbe river...
