A very interesting and little known chapel in Faro, Southern Portugal

This chapel was built on the highest spot of the city of Faro, probably during the 15th Century. It embraced a medieval watch tower which existed (and is still there), which comes with little surprise, considering it's the highest spot in the area.
In the 16th Century the chapel was improved. Already in the 20th Century the tower was transformed, becoming a water deposit. However it's still possible to climb to the top (if you are lucky with the time of your visit) and enjoy the views around.
