Large Dragon mounted on the side of a Railway Bridge (the main line from London into Newport. The Dragon keeps his beady eye on Newport Castle.
The Dragon appears to be a mythical marine creature, note the fish tail and the web feet. The Welsh Dragon has four legs, so not the normal Welsh dragon you would expect to find in Wales. The bronze sculpture is over 25 feet long by 10 feet tall. I have included a link below but I believe most of the text to be incorrect,
but the is is a good picture.
