Architect, Frederick Hughes built the Biltmore Hotel in 1929 with a beaux-arts style. Its brown and white looks comes from an applied masonry facade with both both brick and terra cotta. The Hotel is one of Dayton's tallest buildings and has played guest to such celebrities as Elvis and JFK.
In 1981, the building was renovated and turned into elderly housing, known as Biltmore Towers - Senior Living. Now, the 16-story building has 230 apartments, ranging in size from 500 sq. ft. 1-bedrooms to 713 sq. ft. 2-bedrooms
