This small and cozy beach it's one of the most popular in the city of São Tomé. There are a few others but are either too dangerous, too polluted or too far. This one is just perfect and it gets crowded, specially on Summer Sundays, packed with locals who feel the need of getting away from the extremely warm temperatures of the city.
The beach is located between the harbor and the old fortress which is now the national museum. It's name, PM, comes from Policia Militar (Military Police) as in the colonial times the barracks of this force were contiguous to the beach, in a building which now belongs to the harbor.
The water here is warm, generally clean, and safe for a swim, as the beach is located in a kind of micro bay.
Coordinates are common for the parking and access. It's a small place.
