Bedford County Veterans Memorial - Bedford, Pennsylvania

This monument was placed here in 1973 by the various veterans organizations of Bedford County. This monument is located near the County Courthouse on the Courthouse Square and to the backdrop has a small "plaza" of flags for the United States, Pennsylvania and each branch of the armed forces as well as two wooden benches for reflection. The granite marker has two larger pillars followed by a central one connecting the two previously mentioned with the bronze tablet with the inscription:

Below the tablet, is a engraved American Bald Eagle, with spread wings, displayed in White granite, while the rest of the marker is of a red-maroon granite color.
