Military prison - Germersheim, Germany - Retired Prisons on Waymarking.com

Opened in 1894 the prison was used for arresting soldiers. From 1936 on it was used by the German Wehrmacht, from 1945 until 1954 by the French military. The prison retired in 1956 and was used differently. Until 1999 it is an office building.

Das Arrestgebäude wurde 1894 erbaut. Ab 1936 wurde es von der Whermacht genutzt, von 1945 bis 1955 vom französischen Militär. Seid 1956 ist es kein Gefängnis mehr und wurde unterschiedlich genutzt. Seit 1999 beherbergt es Büros.
