This Oregon State Highway Department benchmark is located on the NE corner of the sidewalk spanning Oak Creek Bridge and along SW Western Blvd. It is in good condition and flush with the sidewalk, very easy to spot.

IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF CORVALLIS, ON OLD HIGHWAY U.S. HIGHWAY 20, AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE CONCRETE BRIDGE OVER OAK CREEK, IN TOP OF THE CONCRETE SIDEWALK, 1.7 FEET WEST OF THE EAST END OF THE SIDEWALK, AND 0.4 FOOT SOUTH OF THE SOUTH FACE OF THE CONCRETE POST AT THE CORNER OF THE BRIDGE BANISTER. NOTE-- THERE IS A NEW SIDE WALK IN AREA WHERE THE BY IS DESCRIBED AS BEING.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1987 RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION, A NEW DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS. IN CORVALLIS, AT THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTHWEST WESTERN BOULEVARD AND SOUTHWEST GROVE STREET, IN THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE NORTH WALKWAY OF A BRIDGE SPANNING OAK CREEK, 114.3 M (375.0 FT) EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE STREET, 5.3 M (17.4 FT) NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE BOULEVARD, 0.2 M (0.7 FT) WEST OF THE EAST EDGE OF THE WALKWAY, AND 0.1 M (0.3 FT) SOUTH OF THE NORTH GUARDRAIL OF THE BRIDGE. THE MARK IS 0.2 M ABOVE THE BOULEVARD.
