Agios Gordios is a small town at the west coast of Corfu, about 17 kilometers from the islands capital Kerkyra. It is located at a bay with a sandy beach of a length of about two kilometers.
The beach is a Blue Flag Beach (
visit link) , an international beach quality certificate; the water is clean, the area is safe and there are the necessary facilities around. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented in the whole beach. The area behind the beach is full of restaurants and snack bars that offer local and international food.
The beach is also suitable for children of any age. But when there are strong winds there are high waves and a strong current, that should not be underestimated.
The coordinates are from the (very small) parking at the end of the main road, roughly in the center of the beach. The main season is from May to October, the village is almost closed and uninhabited for the rest of the year.
