This building is now the Singapore Art Museum, but it was originally constructed as the "St Joseph's Institution", however, the original dedication still resides over the main entrance. There are a number of plaques and memorabilia of the Institution extant inside the entrance, and inside the Museum itself. The Museum became the Museum in 1996.
I could not take a full frontal photo of the Museum due to the presence of Sing police in combat standing in front of the Museum, no idea why.
Year of construction: 1852
Full inscription: St Joseph's Institution
Founded A.D. 1852
