Cette fresque est un hommage aux femmes et aux enfants qui ont travaillé, parfois en bas âge, dans cette industrie. Les gens de la région connaissent tous quelqu'un qui a travaillé ici à un moment ou un autre. Ça touche personnellement l’artiste Sophie Wilkins puisque sa grand-mère avait commencé à travailler là dès l’âge de 12 ans.
Sur le panneau nord on voit une travailleuse du textile s’affairant au métier à tisser. Le côté est présente deux fenêtres. L’artiste y a inclus différents personnages de travailleurs qu’elle a réalisés en peignant des gens de son entourage, dont elle-même.

This mural is a tribute to women and children who worked, sometimes at a very young age, in the fabric industry. People of this region all know someone who has worked here at one time or another. It affects artist Sophie Wilkins personally, her grandmother started working there at the age of 12.
In the north panel you see a textile worker scurrying to the looms. In the east panel you see two windows. The artist has painted the workers with various people she knows, including herself.
