This gargoyle like sculpture of noted computer scientist, John von Neumann, is located at the second story level on the south facing wall of Deschutes Hall at the University of Oregon. This bust like view of von Neumann includes his shirt collar, Dilbert-style tie hanging down with a tie clip. On the other side to the left of the nearby second-story balcony is Allen Turing.

Artist Wayne Chabre produced twelve hammered copper gargoyle-like sculptures for the University of Oregon from 1986 to 1988.

Somewhat amazing to me, is that the sculpture can be seen in Google Street View, on the pathways of the campus.
