The family at this farm chose Iowa State colors for their design, the red complementing this historical barn. The ancestors came to this vicinity from Germany in 1970, and the barn was built in 1880’s for livestock. It is easily found on the south side of 450th Street and is #10 on the Pocahontas County Barn Quilt map.
