After the assassination of JFK on November 22, 1963, the effects of the tragedy were felt around the world. In Belle River, Ontario, Canada residents planted a maple tree in honour of the loss of President Kennedy. This living memorial is located in Ladouceur Park along with a distinguished war monument.
