We made a run to the border looking for benchmarks and passed this sign on our way south.
This area is known as Cascade, named after the town, but not too much remains. The town of Cascade was a mining town, built on the prospects of gold in the area, and suffered the same fate as the vast majority of other towns built under similar circumstances.
