Pearson Air Museum is on the grounds of Pearson Field, formerly Pearson Army Airport, the oldest operating airport in the United States. The museum features aircraft dating primary from the period from World War I to World War II. The museum includes a flight simulator room with 15 stations, allowing visitors to "fly" many different types of aircraft. Members and volunteers also have access to an aviation library.
The museum contains an experimental and one-of-a-kind aircraft known as "The Flying Bathtub" and "The Dill Pickle" built by the Beaverton, Oregon-based National Aircraft Corporation. One of the wooden hangers, built in 1918, is currently the oldest structure in the United States that houses aircraft.
