Sure was glad this was all downhill. We found the wet paint sign on the ground, but did not see any indications of new paint. So we had a little fun, with B in the picture as required.
There are 106 stairs and 7 landings.
The stairways were built during the 30's the 40's. It was not until the 80's and 90's that the City of Trail added roofs to the stairways. This was done to minimize the amount of winter maintenance required for snow removal.
Trail has 63 covered stairways throughout the city and they are considered a landmark.
