This cairn was placed in 1965 and shares with another notable First Nation friend of Big Child, Ahtahkahkoup (Star Blanket).
Mistiwasis
Mistiwasis with his friend Ahtahkahkoup were instrumental in convincing many of his nation to take no part in the Rebellion. This decision prevented a close alliance between the Indians and the Metis which could have been a much larger conflict. Mistiwasis was very influential and well spoken leader of the Cree Indians. He was a principal spokesman at the Treaty 6 negotiations that was signed in 1876. He continued to speak for his people until his death in 1895
