This cairn was placed in 1965 and shares with another notable First Nation friend of Star Blanket, Mistiwasis (Big Child).

AhtahKahkoup (Star Blanket)
AhtahKahkoup was a leading chief of the Northern Cree, he was one of the principal signatories to Treaty 6. The treaty signed in 1896 at Fort Carlton he selected a reserve at Sandy Lake where a mission of the Church of England had been established two years previously. Rev. J. Hines the founder of the mission wrote of his friend, "I have no hesitation in saying, A better Indian Never Roamed the Plains," Mourned by all who new him, this pioneer statesman died in 1896 of an age over eighty.
