Barnett Clay was a Woodsmen of the WOrld member and is buried in Clay Cemetery in Geneva, KY. He and his son, Lee, were both members and both buried very near each other in this cemetery.

According to research, Clay dies of cirrhosis in 1931 at 68 years of age. He is buried also with his wife, Rose.
