This memorial, located in the northeast portion of City View Cemetery, features a sculpture of a Union Civil War veteran on a pedestal surrounded by two rings of markers memorializing Union Civil War veterans. The sculpture features a plaque which reads:

ERECTED
IN MEMORY OF
DECEASED BRAVE
DEFENDERS
OF OUR COUNTRY
IN THE CIVIL WAR OF
1861-1865.

Below the sculpture is a dedication marker that reads:

DEDICATED
TO OUR FATHERS
BY

DAUGHTERS
UNION VETERANS OF THE
1861 CIVIL WAR 1865
