This benchmark is located on the wall next to the entrance door to the Montgomery Area Visitor Center located in the former Union Station depot in Montgomery, Alabama.

If one looks at the entrance, one can see a plaque on the brick wall to the right of the door. The benchmark is located below the plaque. The benchmark was placed in 1933, when this was an active train station serving the capital of Alabama.
